Press Tool Safety Jacks – Safe Way Lifting, Nuneaton
Safe Way Lifting was requested by their customer to provide a range of screw jacks to be used as additional safety mechanisms for their press tools. The jacks were required to be fitted between the upper and lower dies to prevent the ram from lowering unexpectedly.
A complete range of jacks were designed by Paul Engert Mechanical Design for various height adjustments and loads ranging from 2 to 22 tonnes. Detail and assembly drawings were provided to Safe Way Lifting for manufacture. The jack components were sized and specified to withstand the buckling and compression loads imposed on them.
