Collapsible Mobile Gantry – Hampshire Lifting Gear, Fareham
An MOD Research & Development Company approached Hampshire Lifting Gear to ascertain the suitability of the main beam of a collapsible mobile gantry.
Stress and deflection calculations were carried out by Paul Engert Mechanical Design to verify that it was safe for it’s intended load capacity in accordance with BS EN 1993-6:2007 (Design of Steel Structures – Part 6: Crane Supporting Structures).
