Television Camera Hoist Support Structure. Hampshire Lifting Gear, Fareham
Hampshire Lifting Gear were approached by a Championship League Football Club to investigate the possible installation of a runway beam and lifting hoist system to lift television cameras and associated equipment from ground level up into the media gallery above the South Stand.
A section of the existing roof over the media gallery was to be replaced with new a new structure, and raised by nominally 1 metre to allow equipment to pass over the front barrier.
Existing Stucture
The new gallery structure was designed by Paul Engert Mechanical Design to withstand the loads generated from the hoisting system. The proposal is currently with the Football Club and awaiting approval.
